In our realizations of wooden houses, we choose wood as a building material because of its extraordinary characteristics, which make it ideal for safe, durable, energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.

At present, there is no technology that makes it possible to build houses that are safe and in harmony with the environment, with zero environmental impact like those using wood.

The use of construction wood also expands the production chain, starting with the planting of trees, which help increase CO2 absorption and ensure a sustainable source of raw material for the future.

Why choose wood?

Wood has unique advantages:

  • High strength and low weight: It represents the quintessential earthquake-resistant material due to the best mass-to-strength ratio.

  • Excellent insulating properties: Allows the construction of load-bearing masonry with an exceptional degree of thermal insulation, as in the case of walls with 25 cm of rock wool integrated into 38 cm total, a result unthinkable with bricks or reinforced concrete, facilitating the construction of passive houses that require very little energy for heating.

  • Environmental sustainability: Using wood means promoting reforestation. Today, many areas in Europe are devoted to this activity, helping to remove CO2 from the atmosphere and, thus, combat climate change.

XLam panels are usually clad in plasterboard in interiors, allowing for the effective passage of plant conduits within the walls. However, in areas without installations, it is possible to leave the panels exposed to highlight the natural beauty of the wood.

On the outside, XLam panels have an abundant layer of thermal insulation, made from biocompatible materials such as mineral wool or wood fiber.
