One-story wooden house of 90 square meters

A detached house in the province of Vicenza This single-story wooden house-harmoniously inserted in the Venetian plain-represents a viable housing solution that allows with a limited budget to gain freedom and energy independence. The housing unit includes: large living room/open-plan kitchen; two rooms; Laundry; technical mezzanine. One-story house 90 square meters Lay out The compact floor plan rationalizes available space by minimizing circulation spaces and maximizing spaces dedicated to daily activity or rest. Foundations The foundations are built with a solid reinforced concrete slab that allows the load to be distributed over the entire area occupied by the building. Vertical structure The vertical structure is mounted on the slab suitably equipped with a foundation curb, which allows the foundation ledge to be raised from ground level, thus ensuring moisture isolation of the masonry base. The 10-cm-thick X Lam panels are formed from framed planks of spruce. They are brought to the site pre-cut and assembled in place with mechanical fasteners on the foundation lug. The roof structure The roof is made of glulam beams that are delivered to the construction site pre-painted white. This depends on the customer’s choice However, the choice of bleaching is a very common choice and allows for more brightness in the rooms. The roof The coverage package includes: wooden beads; Vapor barrier; 20 cm of high-density rock wool thermal insulation; breathable sheathing; Ventilation lath; shingle-holding counter-batten; terracotta tile. The perimeter eave support beams are separated from the roof support beams to avoid possible thermal bridging. They are then inserted into the insulation package. Ventilation strips The pantile tile roof rests on a double warp of battens and counter battens that provide solid support for the roofing membrane and ventilation underneath. Wall insulation The walls are insulated both internally and externally; the coat has 20 cm of high-density glass wool. The inside of the walls is covered with a 5-cm rockwool mat and finished with double sheets of gypsum board. Part of the wall is left exposed and painted with the bleaching paint already used to bleach the roof. Centralized Mechanical Ventilation VMC Each room is equipped with vents to feed renewed and preheated air in winter into the heat recovery extracted from the air taken out of the rooms. Air removed from rooms such as the kitchen and bathrooms is exhausted to the outside, but before being removed it passes through a color recuperator that preheats the incoming air, recovering 90 percent of the heat that would otherwise be lost.

A wooden house of 87 square meters with a mezzanine floor

This wooden house with a total of 87 square meters allows for loft-style living in touch with nature.   Ground floor Equipped with a large sliding window and double-height living area, this is a home for the single person or couple who want to enjoy the pleasantness of the landscape with friends while sharing carefree moments. The indoor space features a convenient countertop kitchen. The indoor space and outdoor space flow seamlessly thanks to the connection provided by the large window with movable doors. First Floor On the first floor we have a generous bathroom, a walk-in closet that opens onto the mezzanine level, and a bed that enjoys the orientation offered by the large ground-floor window that extends above the mezzanine level. A country or peri-urban loft. Designed to fit into a rural or peri-urban setting this compact yet functional unit offers the pleasure of a metropolitan concept of living without giving up waking up to spring singing in the window. Section In this proposed wooden living solution, the mezzanine is interrupted in the middle of the floor plan to allow for an airy double-height space. The exterior flooring is fitted with a sunshade sheet to provide sun protection during summer periods.   Construction The construction is made of X Lam load-bearing panels.   The panels have ample thickness of rock wool thermal insulation that ensures that Passive House insulation levels are achieved, which allows for minimizing if not zeroing out the cost of utility bills.

Expansion with superelevation and renovation

Foreword The project involves the renovation and expansion of a residential building by raising an existing craft building. The wooden structure, due to its lightness and strength, is suitable for elevation work on existing buildings without overloading the foundations and load-bearing masonry too much. The existing building was a brick-and-concrete craft workshop with a prismatic shape. The intervention included the renovation of the existing with equipment, thermal insulation and finishes to make the existing equal in terms of level of living quality to the elevated wooden part. Description of the intervention The building is set to criteria of simplicity and functionality. The volumetric development features a single-story rectangular plan body with a gabled wooden roof. The ground floor is divided into kitchen-living area, and service and storage rooms. Floor plan layout Adjoining the property with a separate entrance is a technical room where the following are put into operation: heat pump, domestic water tank, inertial tank, inverter, recirculation pumps and control and expansion devices. On the first floor, the building houses the bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry room. The roof of the residential unit is made of copper with photovoltaic panel equipment. Forometry The structure features a large glazed opening with sliding doors on the south side. To the south is positioned the kitchen and living area in order to privilege the view of the green. In the same front is obtained a porch of depth < 1.5 m that does not make volume according to the calculation methods of the current urban planning instrument. The windows and doors The windows and doors are made of glued laminated timber high degree of energy efficiency high performance is achieved with double chamber and double air seal. The planned shading system is of the external Venetian blind type adjustable in inclination in order to reduce summer radiation. Insulation Both the existing building and the superelevation are clad with a 20 cm layer of rock wool thermal insulation in addition, the walls are equipped internally with plasterboard trim insulated with 5 cm of rock wool. The total thickness of the new walls is 38 cm. The external infills of the elevation will be made of X Lam and will be equipped with external coat externally and plasterboard lining internally. The roof The roof is ventilated with laminated wood structure with bead board then covered with high-density rock wool thermal insulation 20 cm thick. Exterior finishes The facades of the building are finished in traditional plaster in keeping with local tradition, with a light tone color. The south side, on the other hand, in ventilated larch lath cladding. Plants and thermal performance The thermal insulation equipment and the provision of tools for capturing and using solar energy therefore ensure that this building is in high energy class (A4 – passive house). The building is also conditioned in winter and summer with a heat pump and therefore does not require a gas system. Therefore dle CO2 emissions are reduced to zero.

Wood house with eco-sisma bonus 110%

Thanks to theeco seismic bonus also called superbonus provided by the relaunch decree , by means of A renovation with demolition and reconstruction, with transfer of the tax credit we are constructing a building in a rural area in the hills of Lessinia. The project involves a building with linear development lying on the hillside. The shape of the building minimizes the excavation burden and the impact of the volume on the existing terrain. In fact, the new site adheres to the contours of the undisturbed slope. Since the land is north facing with a breathtaking view of the foothills of the Venetian pre-Alps, the living area, equipped with two love windows on opposite sides allows simultaneous light from the south and the panoramic view to the north. The not excessive – but still perfectly adequate – size of the property is calibrated to fully exploit and maximize the eco-sisma bonus by carrying out the works with almost no financial input at the end of the operation. A new house with a view of the hills – wooden – passive – earthquake-proof – almost zero final cost

A wooden house in the Veneto countryside

This three-room wooden house design fits perfectly into the environment of the Veneto countryside. Attunement with the surrounding environment This is a project designed specifically for a construction practice of demolition and reconstruction in an agricultural environment. Due to the regulations employed, the project provided tax relief for the developer and an increase in the pre-existing volume. When the land is located in an agricultural zone, the type of intervention must be subject to the standards contemplated by local urban intervention plans. Generally, these projects require construction that respects the type of traditional buildings found in agricultural land. In our wooden houses we can include traditional eaves and traditional windows with typical Paduan, Venetian or Vicenza-style shutters and equip the exterior facades with the typical traditional plaster finish.   The windows and doors we use are also made of wood, which guarantees the validity of the product. Our wooden houses are developed with the most advanced technology available on the construction market today, yet they can blend perfectly into the surrounding agricultural environment. The building envelope The thickness of our walls is about 40 cm; this is quite similar to the thickness found in brick or stone masonry. The difference is that the thickness of our masonry is mainly made up of highly insulating material. This externally is not noticeable as the wall can be finished in traditional plaster based on classic colors. Facade windows may or may not be framed, this depends on the taste of our clients both solutions are within the local tradition. Plants The floor plan of the property includes on the ground floor: living room/open-plan kitchen of 51 sqm; WC of 4.6 sq. m; technical room / laundry room of 6.8 sq m; garage of 30 sq m; On the first floor we find: Two single rooms of 10 sq m; a double bedroom of 16 sq. m; a 5.5-square-meter bathroom. In total, the building is 180 square meters. Masonry Bearing perimeter walls made of X Lam of certified production by Artuso Legnami company http://www.artusolegnami.it/ Supply and installation of prefabricated wall of the standard type 100 mm complete with fasteners Rothoblaas http://www.rothoblaas.com/it/it/home.html or Borga Italia. Bearing wall in X Lam, composed, in sequence from the inside to the outside by : double sheet of 12.5 mm plasterboard; in the case of facing the bathroom, water-repellent plasterboard will be used; 50 mm cavity for plant passage with 5×4 cm fir laths insulated with 50 mm rock wool (or thicker for any larger diameter pipes); 100 mm X Lam 3-layer load-bearing wall (depending on structural calculations); 200 mm rock wool coat density >135 kg/m3, l = 0.037 W/mK; 5mm mineral plaster with plaster carrier mesh and siloxane finish. Facilities Thermal power plant The main generator will be an air-water heat pump to create hot water for heating and Domestic Hot Water production and cool water for air conditioning and dehumidification in the summer phase. A 300-liter boiler is planned for the production and storage of Domestic Hot Water for sanitary uses. Heating/cooling system Heating/cooling will be done in radiant wall mode. Plasterboard panels will be built into the wall with pipes embedded inside where hot water created by the heat pump will flow and give the room the energy it needs to heat. In the same panels will flow cool water in the summer phase for radiant air conditioning. Controlled mechanical ventilation system (VMC) This system integrates a system that constantly reciprocates the air mechanically inside the house by recovering the heat in the outgoing air (enthalpy) and a the system that will dehumidify the air in the summer phase to make the room perfectly air-conditioned. The VMC is from the Zhender company, a leader in this field. The mechanical ventilation reciprocates air constantly, taking it from the ‘dirty’ compartments (bathroom, kitchen, laundry room) and putting it back into equiportment in the noble compartments (bedrooms, living room…). This replacement is done through a machine that recovers the heat of the extracted one by preheating the newly introduced replacement one. The dehumidifier is installed on the ventilation supply so that it can provide dehumidified ventilation in the summer phase. This makes it possible, in conjunction with radiant cooling panels in the summer period, to provide radiative air conditioning in the warmer periods.

A one-story wooden house of 130 square meters

Here is a single-story house that fits perfectly into the territory of Mediterranean Italy. It is a one-story house designed to offer its guests the maximum of: independence; contact with nature; conviviality.   The elevation is moved by the dialogue that develops between the volume of the living area and the volume of the sleeping area. A generous patio equipped with sunshades extended throughout the living area provides a pleasant filter between indoors and outdoors. The single-story wooden house is always the ideal solution to reduce the visual impact in the area and provide the best accessibility to living spaces. Easily this type of housing comes to blend into the surrounding area shielded by vegetation and land morphology. A rational wooden house The volume is divided into living and sleeping areas. In the interior, the two areas are connected by a deep infill extending parallel to the large glazed opening. The floor plan development is purely linear, and the infill, therefore, constitutes the connective device of the pivotal functions of the house: countertop kitchen, dining area, TV area, laundry room, toilets and rooms. This floor plan epitomizes the ultimate in distributional rationality by ensuring everything that a discerning occupant today requires: Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet; Second room of generous size. It can accommodate a couple or become a studio; Relaxation tub under window; shower alternative; kitchen island; Lift and slide sash window; Panoramic TV area with peninsula sofa.   A passive house This house, like all of our productions, is also proposed by complying with the requirements of the Passive House. Passive houses are houses that provide maximum energy savings by positioning themselves at near-zero consumption levels. Due to its high insulation, the passive house expects the heating system to be a kind of optional extra. In reality, however, our houses are generally equipped with radiant floor with also cooling function in summer, controlled mechanical ventilation(VMC) in order to always achieve a very high standard of comfort in summer and winter with continuous air exchange without waste. An earthquake-resistant house The wooden structure provides a high seismic strength-to-mass ratio, and this therefore allows its inhabitants to be able to live in the absence of concerns about earthquake damage. More and more seismic events are occurring in Italy in areas of our nation that were not classified as hazardous. This has led to new mapping that has redrawn the Italian geography considering almost all of our country at risk. Seismic risk is not intrinsic to our beautiful territory, instead it pertains to the hazard of so-called traditional buildings. We cannot stop seismic events in Italy. Wood, however, is the perfect building material that, thanks to its resilient qualities, allows us to look forward to the future with serenity.   A wooden house is ideal for smart working Following the ominous restrictions imposed by the Covid 19 virus, more and more people have come to appreciate telecommuting or smart working. Beyond the annoying movement restrictions, however, this event opened the eyes of many Italians to an important reality: many of the things we used to do in the office we can do from home with less waste of resources and greater peace of mind by taking advantage of the possibilities offered by agile work. The wooden house we propose is an ideal type for those who can work from home: surrounded by greenery gives serenity to its occupants; equipped with photovoltaics recharges utilities for free; allows during work breaks to engage in gardening or leisure activities. It is therefore the ideal home for spending more time at home without having to go out.
